GOLD FILLED JEWELLERY
Gold filled jewellery is a term used to describe gold bonded to a layer of silver or copper or other base metal in a manner that produces an item of jewellery that looks and feels like solid gold yet is comprised of at least 1/20 parts gold bonded to the other alloy. Gold filled jewellery is very durable and is many times more durable than gold plated jewellery. Gold filled jewellery has been in use for hundreds of years and has been traded as vermeil or rolled-gold throughout Europe and the United States for centuries.
